1962

Training roots began with the Wallace Training Centre for the Blind in Tuaran, focusing on practical skills development.

1966

Official establishment of the Sabah Society for the Blind, formalizing the mission to serve visually impaired individuals state-wide.

Growth & Expansion

Expansion through branches in Sandakan, Keningau, and Tawau, extending support beyond one district to serve the wider Sabah community.

Today

A robust organization continuing to operate training and support efforts that rely on public generosity and community partnership.

Our journey through the years is built on decades of service, ensuring that every visually impaired person in Sabah is seen, supported, and given the chance to live with dignity.
